Artist Susan Beiser started building small wrapped pieces to present trims that coordinated to upholstery fabrics in High Point showroom displays back in her textile industry days. She left the industry when it took a downturn in the late 90’s, the textile/fiber passion never left her.
After designing for other industries for many years, she decided to revisit her old display technique, and Fiber Icicles were born. She hand embellishes each one with fabric, yarn, thread, film, wire & trim remnants on sustainable bases in her home studio in Charlotte, NC. Fiber Icicles are great holiday decor on trees and garlands, on everyday house plants and as window decor.
